Dead Ed

His name is Ed
And he is dead
But we’re still here ‘cause
We’ve chosen life
Through ups and downs
And joy and strife

Because he left parents
Whose dear hearts bled
We pray for the family of
Dead Ed
And now I’m going
Back to bed on this
25th anniversary of
When Ed fled

"Heaven"—is what I cannot reach!
The Apple on the Tree—
Provided it do hopeless—hang—
That—"Heaven" is—to Me!
