Days Of Visions And Dreams Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Days Of Visions And Dreams

Islands of stars like silent forests
We ride a gallant road
You and I have seen the triumph
Identities blend on the palette
The river bends
Another shell on the beach
Another grand sunset
Some dream of death
We dream of eternal life
Yes, let there be songs that fill the air
Let friends laugh like golden elves
Feel the streams of silver forgiveness

Roses so red we cry like wolves
Sing the hymns of magic
Love filled with leprechauns
Love filled with the 60's
On the road
Authors of magnolia blossoms
The bottles spilled
The weed smoked
Back to our home towns
Called like the four winds
Can we make another stand?
Another ride on the bus

The war is in full rage
The good old days are always here
Are we ageless?
Are we the children of God?
Prayer is a mountain
The blind need mountains
Rest your sleepy souls
We are praying again
Build the fire day by day
God wants to help
Those days come again
Those days of visions and dreams
