Days Could Have Been Kinder Poem by Jerryman Appiahene Gyamfi

Days Could Have Been Kinder

Days could have been kinder,
Months less churlish,
Years paced with joy
But the future is crabbed,
Held us in a never-ending-puff
Of anxiety; pale drabbed
With bewilderment in coy
We drew close to the finish
As our dreams sadly turned cinder.
