Days And Nights Poem by Tessa Monaghan

Days And Nights

Morning comes
then night falls
I'll be here
awaiting your call
i fall asleep
wishing that i
was being held by you.

morning is here
i wake up
wishing i didn't
Laying there alone
nothings changed
since the night before.
I start to think
i start to cry.
and more wishing begins.

Mid day has approached
with it's creeping thought.
The thought of nothing
the thought of being alone.
lounging around
make-up free
board and alone.
sitting there
waiting for your move.
sun is down low,
Moon is up high.
Still no breath taking
sound of your voice.
Alone in the dark
In my sweats and tank,
eating my carton of ice cream.
Along the the early
sound of the movie.

Days and nights go by,
No sound of you.
Next thing you know, i lay there
staring into the face of my beloved.
Deep into the eyes.
then cuddled close,
His arm around me tight.
I feel this warmth.
i feel his touch.
i feel his heart.
Then i woke up.
it was only a dream.
i lay there alone,
once again,
i can still feel your heat
i can still feel your touch
i can still feel your heart beat.

Then
it all starts over again.
the day
the noon
the night
the dreams
the feelings.
Morn' to night.
All love.
