Daylight Is Fading Poem by Kaylo Littleton

Daylight Is Fading

Rating: 3.5

Daylight is fading faster with each breathe,
And soon the world will be in the hands of death,
His dark shadow destroying all that is tranquil,
Daylight is fading, Faster still.

Daylight is fading from the world of light,
Beckoning to those who spawn from the night,
This world of happiness will not much longer last,
Daylight is fading, Much too fast.

Daylight is fading from innocent eyes,
And blood is spilled as the angel cries,
The world becomes ever more sick,
Daylight is fading, Much too quick,

Daylight is fading, It cannot save,
Those now becoming the darkness’ slave,
It no longer cares for what others need,
Daylight is fading, With too much speed.

Daylight is fading, Too tired to resist,
It no longer wishes to even exist,
It no longer fights the savagery,
Daylight is fading too rapidly.

Daylight is fading without remorse,
Giving in to evil’s source,
Soon it shall be the weak this plague is spread upon,
Daylight is fading, It’s almost gone.

Daylight now hides in silent fear,
And hopes for the darkness to disappear,
It’s place in the world it shall never earn,
Daylight has faded, never to return.

From cowardice Daylight cannot be saved,
For years this curse has been engraved,
Upon the side Daylight doesn’t show,
What is Daylight? I do not know…

Daylight once existed here,
In this place that holds all fear,
And behind the darkness you may find,
Daylight crawls far behind.
