Daydreamer Poem by Giovanna Lucarelli

Daydreamer

Rating: 4.5

There you are, daydreamer
Sitting on the grass.
Being carried away, gently
On the wings of memories pass’d

Oh how I long, daydreamer!
To be carried with you,
Away
Out of the here and now
And my daily shades of grey

Into your visionary fantasy
Where we can be alone,
And your laughter, touch and taste
Would melt my heart of stone.

Are you happy with life, daydreamer?
Why do you dream it away?
Those distant eyes, such beauty!
Will be in my dreams today.
