Daybreak Poem by Jonathon Hadley

Daybreak

As the sun rose, the sky blossomed into colour,
she rose like a hurricane from the east.
the storms that raged around could only bow in awe as
Serenity rushed forth and calmed the raging seas.

And after the trees had corrected their leaves,
and allowed their buds to be kissed by the wind,
they stretched their roots,
and settled in the warmth beneath.

And when the Sun sank into the west,
the stars, in their wisdom
lifted the night and,
the darkness was nowhere to be found
