Dawn's Kiss Poem by Zane Crow

Dawn's Kiss

Young Vampire....

Your everlasting lust for what keeps us alive
taking away other needs or feelings
and replacing them with facades
they may act human
But they are not
They may say they have a soul
but the don't
they say they won't hurt you
they will
Immortal shadow
Midnight Predator
Though its true that some weep for their curse
Brought upon them by force, not by choice
Thus they must sever ties
All hidden by the bloodlust in their eyes
Some go out before dawn and wait for the sun to rise
Tired of their timeless pain
So they say their goodbyes
And wait for dawn's kiss
To feel warmth one last time
before its own kiss scorches the poor creature
till all that remains is ash, carried away by the wind
No burial, no tombstone, no last rites into paradise
for they traded their heavenbound souls, only to have their souls welded to their bodies
Forgotten
Hear the evercoming wind, hear their final screams
But yet feel sorry for them, yet i know such curse
i've lived long enough to feel life full circle several times
lived, loved, and lost
For the undead, no forgiveness
For the fallen angels, no salvation
Night is our day, as to day is our night
Trading the warmth of the sun, for the cold of the moon
are we lost
are we forsaken
or are me simply condemned to the pain that time gives us
not a second older, living but yet frozen in time
you might not age, but your loves do
withering away while you still look the exact same
thus lead into one's quest for self destruction
only to find out we're not easy to kill, and even harder to die
for the sun is our weakness
a fiery orb of what we would have had
an eternity in paradise
instead a life in a living hell
no cure
no reverse
yet we bear this everlasting curse upon our shattered humanity

To trade anything to regain their soul
to take all the pain away
to take back all their selfish sins
survival in this life is fatal to their hearts
their shatter point
to seek redemption
and ascend into paradise
of reunion with your loved ones

but yet why do we want an eternity, when we no naught of the pain it really has
fatal reality is your worst mistake
for you have forsaken yourself

their is no pleasure in eternal life
only a never ending pain
thus this life
for I bear this curse

and felt its agony
and still to this day i feel it
yet i walk to a hill known for its beautiful sunrise
waiting for death
true death

in the form of Dawn's Kiss
the warmth is salvation
but yet this salvation is the death of us

but at least it would be over
