Dawn Broke In Silence Poem by Michael Brock

Dawn Broke In Silence

Dawn broke in silence this morning
from the blacken night
the touch of the sun's warmth
framed the moving shadows.

Slowly awakening the world at large
natures sounds begin to stir
unleasing in a noisy start
and the wind blows the smells
of its late springs unveiling

Close by the water singingly falls
the chorus of the frogs playing
the birds chirping calls
the dawn has given way to day

Building heat rolls across the land
the afternoon slowly stands
the smells released by the heat
blows heavy in the wind

The sky darkening hues
reflect the sun off the moon
the stars slowly appear
this day has come to its end
and night blankets the view

You conjure up clear images in my mind. Your choice of four and five lines stanzas I find interesting. Most free form writing I find reads choppily. You do not use meter nor yet rhyme in your well written poetic prose and yet i flows quites moothly

The night rules as much as the day rules! What a meaningful poem!

Hi michale; This is really a beautiful poem describing nature through one day. Dawn could also be the dawn of a new life or a new happy event. Taking you for sharing.
