Dawn Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

Dawn

Rating: 5.0

With midnight far behind and gleams increase,
And sunrise hints of slowly breaking out,
The night decided to soon end its lease,
As now alarmed roosters begin to shout
Of dawn, while Yesterday leaves, out of reach,
And sands of Time unload from Future's quay,
Towards Forever that the moments breach,
And crop Eternity of one more day;
But promises that need tomorrow's light,
To gild each dawn with lustrous hopes and dreams,
Could give miserable and sorry plight,
Once empty, morrows come, of sweets and creams;
.......The dawn that makes all aspirations bloom,
.......Could also bring forth truth that spells of gloom.

Easy form and a fine balance of light and dark. Very nice.
