Dawn Poem by Mandi June

Dawn

Rating: 4.1

</>I bear these burdens day by day, for not that you should mind,
but living souls and beating hearts need more than what I find.
Purpose does not matter if the empty days ahead
make less the comforts of the night when we are warm in bed.

It does no good to sit and wait, when what we want is known
The time does come when all the good and patience that was shown
Can benefit the truest hearts to venture for their needs,
Just like the flowers breaking through the earth from only seeds.

The lessons I have learned from life are all important, true
But also true, the lessons should not keep me part from you.
I smile, and appreciate and thank the Lord above
But, What good are days that separate us from the ones we love?

We're taught to love, and have respect and pride in all we've done;
Important things will find our hearts and evil overcome
But sometimes even stronger are the lonely, quiet nights
that fill our thoughts with perfect dreams until Dawn's welcome light.

Beautiful words with such honesty I especially like the lines, The lessons I have learned from life are all important, true But also true, the lessons should not keep me part from you. Words are things that can keep others distant and close, very true.

Meanders and winds through life’s experiences and the punch is delivered artfully in the final lines...overwhelming strong and potent its got a classy classical aura in the old tradition., , , at once charming and directed.
