David Paulsen (Acrostic) Poem by Kim Barney

I was born in a bank - - my mother went there and made a deposit

David Paulsen (Acrostic)

Dedicated is the best word for him
Always walking in order to stay slim
Various are the miles he walks each day
In rain or heat, it's work that he calls play
Don't try to stop him or get in his way

Persevering would describe him as well
Always keeps working 'til the final bell
Unwilling to compromise, you can tell
Lessons he learned he never does forget
Some day he may, but so far hasn't yet
Each day he does his best to do what's right
Ne'er of his destination losing sight

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was finished and posted for the first time on 08 January 2015 when I was in Recife, Pernambuco. Brasil.
I deactivated it (temporarily, I thought) but when I tried to reactivate it I could not, so I am resubmitting it. I still have several other poems that need to likewise be resubmitted.
