Date Time Poem by Julie Smith

Date Time

Rating: 3.4

Hear the clocks ticking, from dusk 'til night
The time is running, will it be on my side?
When the clock strikes nine I will be just fine
Because this is the time that you will be mine

Set a date, Darling, and don't go astray
'cause if you do you'll get lost underway
Counting the hours I can't run away
Afraid to miss you I am forced to stay

Time goes too slow when you are not there
The sun goes up and I keep wondering where
You are, you will be and where you were
I turn and I smile when I see you're right there
