Darling Children / That Poet Be Dead

Darling children, We most certainly welcome you to this site.
One suggestion only shall I make, if you kindly allow I might.
When you browse the pages reading poetry, as indeed you should,
please note the dates of the poet’s birth/death if you kindly would.
It may just save you some embarrassment later down the way
Preventing your use of comment section to something-stupid say.

You need not leave advice for Kahlil Gibran;
it’s unlikely he ever checks these pages
being as he died in 1931. Though his sage words
On Pain will persist throughout the ages.
Neither will Joyce Kilmer draw any benefit
from your advice to ‘keep on writing’
Though known for walking under the shade of Trees
in the year 1918 was his last sighting.
Leaving your name attached to comments
similar to these and others roughly such
confirms but your own failing to research details
and attests you are slightly out of touch

Classic poetry is a lovely realm in which one may sojourn
where anyone may enjoy, reflect, and quite likely also learn.
Through immersion in both their joyful or even more bitter words
such worthy poet’s stripes we may also one day hope to earn.
So Dear Children, visit them often
Mark their unique style and certainly note their skill
mindful actual members of the Dead Poets Society
do not read your ‘comments’ still.

I am enjoying quite a laugh. Visited both those poems and read the comments you referenced. I shall hence be looking for more of the same. Thanks.
