Darling, A Cause, Tell To Be Kind By Rasul Gamzatov

* *

Darling, a cause, tell to be kind,
Once in the edge of a strange I had to be,
Suddenly the bad weather ring in
And you appeared - all is calmed?

And in the homeland to come to me is time.
That dismal day was, and I went as a guest.
You appeared - everything changed:
The birds are singing, the sun rise.

I came to the sea and the water is fury,
The thundering waves didn't hide their anger,
And you came and sea punished,
At your feet obediently subsided.

And before me the truth was revealed:
The world rebels if we are apart.
