Darkness In The Air Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Darkness In The Air

There is darkness in the air
With your heart and breaking beat
Love has gone from here to there
Ill behaviors nowhere treat
Summer's gone to other days
Life is also so very fast
Too many treats in their ways
Nothing really is going to last

Morning comes in a restless dream
Gliding through on winter's street
Feelings inside never seem
Giving a heart and lovers treat
Cold is outside in its deep
Darkness comes and goes around
Dreams of summer still in sleep
In old memories, they're found

There is darkness in the air
Moments in its shadow's lays
Colors in sleep everywhere
Full of instants in dark grays…
