Darkness Poem by Maria Mustansir

Darkness

Rating: 3.8

Alone in the room, with colors of sorrow painted across my face,
I walked into the wall of trust, trying to dive in the rivers of joy,
But that's going to be like touching a star, try to reach and keep up the pace,
But it's still too far, yet I'm trying oh boy,
I wish I had a hand of support,
Or maybe just a ray of light, to help me through the darkness,
All I do, is cry my heart out,
All I think is, I'm a mess,
I remember the days someone used to make sure I'm not a step behind,
When all I cared, was if I'm going to get the last piece of the cake,
Are those days so hard to find?
Gotta get back to the search, give my mind a shake,
Clear my mind, and still walk,
Following the glimpse of light, and ignore the darkness.

Even a glimpse of light is enough to overcome dark.

Colours of sorrows are painted in face during fearful appearances. Touching stars to reach up to peace matters a lot definitely. Fear is just like darkness and life should get light of happiness. Amazing! ..10

A fine piece. From darkness to light, the way is not too long if our attitude is positive.
