Darkness Poem by Sony Dalia

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

When lights go off we look for a torch light,
search for a candle swimming in darkness,
blindly hunt for a match box in a black room…
darkness so scary?

From rootlessness to rootedness
from lonesome state to a family
from a group to a society, natural progression.
Yet, primordial fear haunts ceaselessly!

Whenever forces of oppression operate
silent eye brows rise in defiance,
when humanism becomes a lamb
Narasimha arrives, courtesy Hiranyakasipu!

Eclipses are symbolic, natural, man made…
Rahu or Ketu no one knows surely in space;
Failure of grids certainly marks of greed,
how can one breathe in peace, choking all others?

Monsoon may fail, fail not others dear!
Desire to learn, not to burn brings in cheer
tiny ant may show the way silently
veils of darkness vanish without a whisper!
