Darkest Hour Poem by Sandra Hillawi

Darkest Hour

Rating: 5.0

deep stillness quiet power
core of strength in darkest hour

solemn heart and far apart
lovers face hostile embrace

sure steady strong pure
courage faith they both endure

steadfast true going through
public shame bearing pain

truth is out deep despair
guilt forgiveness justice fair

lightness dawns all mistaken
grief relief as dreams awaken

deepest sighs no more disguise
illusions ended crisis mended

'twas only fear that shed a tear
darkest cloud thundering loud

light now bright fear dissolving
foolish notions stop revolving

grateful sighs love replies
peace restored praise the Lord
