Darken'D Priestess Poem by Wendy Bureau

Darken'D Priestess

Rating: 3.5

Tread the land of ancients fill
Step light, this tale of woe
Brummle through thicket and brine
Fear not, held in thrall below

Bask in Ambrosia's light
Bathe bare, absorb her presence
Dive beneath her deepest shade
Lather up in passion's essense

Kiss gently 'pon lips of fire
Hand fed with transient care
Goddess disguised Devil is she
Purest abler of dispair

Woven thread of mortal life
Bares fray to eternal night
Forever changing, slowly fading
Wept the hands of Heaven's fight

Priestess lost to stagnant land
Mans temptress whilst he sleeps
Unquenched thirst of virgin love
Seared sacred, slowly seeps

Bodily form, a dove was she
Birthed in eloquent's bloom
Gagging on guts of Lucifer
Higher powers of deathly gloom

Clenched by the claws of Hell
Immortal, eternal light
She pines with Aphrodite's breath
Singing cries, of wretched plight

Fated by fate in Heaven's name
Deemed unworthy, she did fall
Swallowed into forever darkness
Black curtain closure, firewall
