Dark Without You (Absolutely Nothing To Do With The Poem, But Whatever) Poem by Emma Alberts

Dark Without You (Absolutely Nothing To Do With The Poem, But Whatever)

You're pulling it together
As I slip away
Please don't move on
Without me

Falling in a black hole
Of early depression
Holding on the edge, then...
I let go

Screaming
Falling
Crying
Bawling

Just until
My heart gives out
Reaching for a hand...
But no one grabs it

(Winter 2008, Age 11, Wisconsin)

3 Still luvin' y'all,
Emma :)
