DARK OF LIGHT

CATCH AND HOLD THE NIGHT IN HAND,
FEEL THE DARKNESS, OH HOW BLAND.
THE MIND SEES ALL THAT’S RIGHT,
BUT ONLY ON THE DARKEST NIGHT.

GRASP THE CONCEPT OF NOTHINGNESS,
FILL THE HEART WITH LONELINESS.
TOUCH REALITY AS YOU NEVER WOULD,
LIVE IN DARKNESS AS NO ONE SHOULD.

LIFE CAN BE LIGHT IN THE DARK,
DEPENDING ON THE PATH YOU EMBARK.
IT MATTERS NOT WHICH WAY YOU GO,
IT ONLY MATTERS WHAT YOU KNOW.

HAVE FAITH IN THE DARK OF LIGHT,
AND YOU WILL WIN THE FIGHT.
CARE NOT FOR WHO YOU ARE,
AND YOUR LIFE WILL CARRY FAR.

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
