with the clouds parting, skies opening
a dark angel emerges, its beckoning
the angel's voice like music flows
it moves melodically through my veins
lifting my soul from this hard ground i lay
my broken pieces left shattered below
lying in a pool of my crimson blood
as i ascend to the skies my scars fade
the dark angel deceivingly welcoming
extending her angelic black wings
wrapping me in a comforting embrace
the dark angel not releasing her grip
soon dragging me to darkness below
bringing with me all my broken pieces
my scars visible again, bringing pain.
chaining me in a cold dark dungeon
the dark angel whispers hauntingly
trapped forever now with my brokenness
i'll remain, and my scars will never fade.
