In the dark and eerie shadows
of a cool October night
lurks a distant and mysterious man,
tucked beneath the cloudy and moonless sky
where the city street lights
barely kiss his scared face

His deadly blade gripped tightly
in his cold hands
hidden beneath his hooded frame,
with each minute his anticipation grows
soon his lethal plan becomes reality,

Adrenaline rushes through his evil body
as he silently stalks his next unsuspecting victim
Slowly he creeps closer and closer
increasing his deadly stride
with each step

He catches from behind
completely off guard and by surprise
shock turns to terror, and her thin frames fights for her life
she struggles to break free
scratching and biting leaving evidence that she was there

The shiny cold steel blade penetrates
her warm and beaten body
vigorously slicing her skin and organs blow after blow
his blood thirsty and murderous intent
has left another victim in his wake

the sound of gurgling blood
as his victim lays helplessly dying,
brings life to his evil soul
awakening a twisted beast inside
that had laid dormant for many years

the hooded man stood over her lifeless body
grinning to himself for a job well done
he bends down picking up the corpse
and discarding her like unwanted trash
down a cold and empty alley
quietly slipping back into the dark and eerie shadows
unnoticed by a single soul
