Dark Poem by Richard Orazietti

Dark

Falling shadows advance the night

Darkness rules sequestered light

Now absent are the birds in flight

Not a living soul in sight

Only faith to brave tonight

Cold and damp impending blight

Pounds my heart to evil's delight

Against my will without respite

There's no escape not even slight

Like this a lot. Nightime is my favorite part of the day! Poem has a great rhythm to it. Nicely done!
