Dantes Comedy. Poem by Ryan Brodesser

Dantes Comedy.

1. For those men who died
2. With warrior pride
3. Go unto the halls of paradise
4.But for those have lived in evil and vice
5. You go to hell and pay the price
6. For cowards who lied and stole
7. These actions will take their toll
8. Imprisoned in chains and mud
9. With those who have spilt undeserving blood
10. For those who have lived in laziness and lax
11. Misers, who have never paid tax
12. Shall never see heaven’s open fields
13. To eternal torment their soul must yield
14. For those whose lust have taken them down
15. Shall join those who have killed for power or crowns
16. Whipped and beaten for those who lust
17. Boiled in a river of blood for cities tyrants who have crushed
18. Souls in pain look up to the sky
19. To plead to angels who never die.
20. Look up to the ladder that goes to heaven’s golden gate.
21. To find forgiveness or slight from their horrific fate.
22. Souls shrieking over roasting sands
23. Those who cursed in god’s name
24. Their feet to be burnt by sandy brands
25. In the last ring of hell
26. Are tormented souls for money information they did sell
27. With feet and hands frozen in seas of ice
28. They come to regret their treacherous vice.
30. Sinners beware take my advice
31. Confess to the church or pay a truly terrible price.
