Dancing With Pain Poem by jason mcgookin

Dancing With Pain

Rating: 3.2

sitting watching the blade dancing
. twisting and turning hear the blade sing.
a fresh new line to add to the rest.
my heart starts to beat out of my chest.
as i start to come alive again.
the release i feel i give ten out of ten.
but as usual it ends all to quick.
if i had the choice death i would pick.
to leave all my troubles behind.
searching for that courage i'll never find.
so i another day i'll have to stay.
i guess it may always be that way.... ”

Graphic and imaginative (and a bit dark) well done!

Wonderful, Jason. And I could feel the truth of your sentiment. It's such a struggle, isn't it? But courage, as you say, is to live yet another day.
