Dancing Twilight Poem by Asma Khan

Dancing Twilight

The flame of hope flickers and fades
two paths before me
which one must I take

I have searched every star and sky
may the night pass like this
In return of your one smile

All dreams have become barren
in the land of my blazing heart
in the absence of your sight

The moon comes barefoot to the window
to hear your laughter tinkling
in search of your existence

The bundle of my dreams dwells
around you with growing shades of hope
to conquer the loneliness given in a gift

Your dangling entangled dreams
played with my imagination the whole night
as the twilight covered the moon
