Dancing Naked Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Dancing Naked

I met a young girl today,
she said she be at 6th avenue and 48th street,
that's where we can meet,
and just then my heart beat a little bit,
she said five pm that is where I'll be,
I will be dancing in front of the clothing store,
with nothing on, protesting what been going down,
so I go on to 6th avenue and 48th street,
just befor five pm,
there is noise,
man there jive,
everything is so alive man,
when I see her,
I am so happy to be alive sir,
cause she is there dancing naked,
just like the day she was born,
just like the day she was born.
