Dancing In The Sunlight Poem by Ridha Gilani

Dancing In The Sunlight

Rating: 2.5

I lay here in the sanctuary,
Where the flower girl once stayed.
Her lilies of yellow and white,
Swaying in the sunlight.

Her long brown hair,
In a rope plait,
Secured with a pink bow,
She was standing in the sunlight.

Her eyes were a compassionate green,
Full of life and happiness.
The were dew drops on the grass,
Shining in the sunlight.

Her smile was beautiful,
So youthful and full of strength.
Because of her, he had faith
And he was dancing in the sunlight.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A little something involving Cloud and Aerith- two of my favorite Final Fantasy characters. I was watching Advent Children Complete and the ending touched my heart. The movie's ending inspired me to write this poem. Basically, I am in Aerith's Church looking at the smiles of the kids and their parents but then I notice Cloud looking over at Aerith. Because of her, Cloud was able to forgive himself and let his past go. And there he was 'dancing' in the sunlight.
