Dancing Demon (Limerick) For Wes Vogler And Kelly Kurt Poem by Souren Mondal

Dancing Demon (Limerick) For Wes Vogler And Kelly Kurt

Rating: 5.0

I would DANCE like a POSS-ess-ed DEMON
Will EAT every DAY with the TREE MEN
If TRUTH could prevail
With the FACtual tale
Of HOW God had MADE man from semen.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a work that I can hardly call my own.. I wrote a comment on Kelly Kurt's limerick 'Conundrum Omelet', that ran as something like this -

'I would dance like a possesed dæmon

Will eat everyday a raw lemon

If someone could tell

The FACTUAL tale

Of how God made man from semen...'

Good ol' Wes then corrected my effort and the result is which I published..

In that I owe it big times to Wes and Kelly for their help in making me write something I am not much, if not at all, comfortable in doing.

If you are reading this and like it, I urge you to go and give Wes Vogler's poems a read.. He is delightful poet, with his wonderful limericks, and others forms.. You will get rhythm and rhyme like no other that you will get from him...

Thank You,
Souren

Wes and Kelly: Two of my favorite poets. Saw this title and could not pass it up. Wes is the one who told me I should write more limericks, and I have written many since then.

You're telling me God wanted man So He sprung a fresh load in his hand? In the other He spit then He rubbed them a bit... And voila! That's how this all began?

Like Abhilasha told, I too do not have knowledge on poetic forms and mainly express through free verse. But, you are a quick learner as is evident from the comments of many senior Members who have authority over English language. What I find is that your writings are very powerful in expression.

Thank you Bharti.. It is all about the love I have received here.. When I came here I was a mess! This forum have given me so many wonderful friends.. Without the love and kindness from all of you, I would have never been here.. All of you encourage me, help me, and praise me when I do right things, and gently point out my mistakes.. It is through this wonderful discourse that I have become whatever I am today.. It is all about the love here.. I love this site and all the members.. You are all like family to me :)
