Dance With Me Poem by Wendy Bureau

Dance With Me

Rating: 4.1

Dance with me, my partner
Spirit lover, of rhythmic step
Foot upon my floor of flesh
Take heart of offer, accept

Whisk lightly my body
To the tune of passion's beat
Sway gently still, beloved
Enveloped in passion's retreat

Music hymn of fluid air
Flows free of fragrant bloom
Blossom of ripest age
Scent soaking, both couple and room

A sedative of sugar sniff
Nostrils dance, with lack of breath
Heard not, the sensuous hum
Of after love, fated death

And so, the music of unheard heart
Plays eternal, timeless love
Ever dancing, in divine flight
'Pon the wings of feathered dove

Dance with me my partner
Spirit lover, of ghostly form
Foot upon my floor of flesh
Cold of life, but e'er warm
