Dance Happens Poem by Vinod Sehgal

Heart flows, beats, swings and shakes,
Love is in the air,
Cyclone of the unknown force whirls and swirls,
Steps gyrate and roll back uncontrolled,
Your presence orchestrates the energy to a tuneable scale.

The moon of love descends in the voluptuous lake,
Bathes in the deep water, spreads the horizon in the wave of love.
The spring of my hopes finds a flair,
A new tune is heard, fresh rain bathes the spirit,
Soul glistens in your presence,
Dreams gleam the heart to devise a coloration of mystical pleasure.
Is it a spectrum of spiritual mirage?

Steps execute a dance, release the suffocated energy,
Dance rips off the body, bleeds out the soul,
Music of heart-beats jive my steps,
Steps though moving in the dark are the harbinger of light,
They are stars that twinkle my spirit.
My breath has a rhythm that minimizes the muscular tension,
And it has a balm that maximizes the resilience,
Soul invites the body to embrace a dance,
And here I dance.

I see the body and soul dance and flow in the ocean of camaraderie,
Dance flows, I flow and the world flows.
