Damn, I Can'T Figure It Out Poem by Justin Kopp

Damn, I Can'T Figure It Out

This one's tough
It seem as if it's there and not
I haven't been able to come up with anything
Even now I'm ready to rewrite the whole thing
It changes quickly and yet hasn't changed at all
My last drink made the bug bites itch less
My reactions slower
And my tolerance just under careless
They clouds and the lightning look like a party drying up
The moon burned out
And the crickets are tired
I'm doing it my way
Though I think I should hold on to some quiet dignity
At least until the rain stops
