Daffodil Poem by Vani Agarwal

Daffodil

Rating: 3.0

I have never seen,
The world in a beautiful scene,
As it changes constantly,
I feel as if the world is lying to me about who I am,
Why shall I be, a part of the crowded summary of the book called earth
And haven't understood why I am a daffodil
Seen the growth of the rest of them and sometimes enjoying it,
Because I haven't grown yet.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poem is a dilemma faced by a little daffodil, confused whether he enjoys being who he is or doesn't. He believes that growing up is a fun experience and has vivid thoughts about change. But, being small, he doesn't know the truth behind growing up and the twists and challenges it gives us, served on a platter. I wrotte this poem in 5th grade and believe that somewhere it rings with the problem faced by one all.
