Daddy's Girl Poem by Annie Stotts

Daddy's Girl

Rating: 5.0

I am not like most women
A lot of fun places i have never been
My daddy never took me to the zoo
My daddy never played peek-a-boo
My daddy was always there
But it was like he didn't care
I was never daddy's little girl
I was never the center of his world
After eighteen years he is now in my life
The only women he cared about was his wife
I was always left out
I was always left alone to cry and pout
Everything i did he never seemed to care
He always made it seem like i wasn't there
I grew up at a young age
I went to hide when he went into a rage
I remember all of those years
When i cried so many tears
Because it seemed like he didn't love me
Our relationship i could never see
I have forgiven him for all of these tears
But can i forget the forgotten years?
