Dad Poem by TayShea Simmerman

Dad

Rating: 5.0

All of your false promises
Are coming to an end
I no longer believe you-
On you I cannot depend

You have a new family now
I have been replaced
No longer, 'Daddy's little girl'
It leaves your love disgraced

I am done crying
You are not my dad
Because someone who I loved so much
Could never make me this sad

I will not come to your wedding-
I know with you that's fine
But someone else will give me away
Because you'll not be invited to mine

I am tired of 'last chances'
Now with you- I'm through
I really don't need a dad
Especially one like you.
