Dad Poem by Lilyann Monahan

Dad

Rating: 4.5

I wish you could take this away from me Dad,
The excess of tears and lack of true joy.
I don't know the dark, I don't know the light,
I am in despair all day long, and it does annoy.
Melancholy, is the only way to describe,
what I feel from morning to night,
I can't leave the house, I get too tired,
and I see no improvement in sight.
While you're in heaven, can you pray for me,
that this will surely pass.
I miss you Dad, I really do,
especially all that crass.
