It’s been 5 years today, since you’ve been gone,
But the time has flown, it don’t seem that long,
It seems like yesterday that you were still here,
And wherever I go, I know you’re still near.

A lot has happened over these five years Dad,
Some good, Some bad,
Some happy, Some sad,

But whatever life brings, I know you’ll be near,
Watching, protecting and making things clear.

You’re the wind in my face, the rain on my hair,
Your always around me, you will always be there.
So until I join you, God only knows when,
Keep me safe Dad and take care until then.
