Cycle Poem by Jessica Stubbs

Cycle

As soon as it begins
It’s already ending
I don’t know why we shy away
I don’t know why we keep pretending

The seasons are passing
It’s a most natural thing
For us to be living and dying
Within a never ending ring

We come in we go out
Intermingled with ever-changing beings
But I do believe it has all happened before and will happen again
This is not the first time we’re seeing

If I happened to get here once
Why not again
For it’s all a cycle
With no beginning and no end
