Curious Child Poem by Toshie Nohara

Curious Child

Curious child last night
Thought the sleeping fish
In the tank was dead!
Tried to survive it with his
little finger moving gently
Fish still not responding
Sadness filled the child's face
Tears in his blue eyes
Heartily prayed before bedtime
For the poor fish to be alive
' Dear God have mercy for my fish- Amen'
At last he fell asleep.
