Cupid Smiles Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Cupid Smiles

Cupid awakes the pain of the past
Do you run or deal with yourself
Deep inside where the rain cries
Deep inside when the sun laughed
I am the healer
I am the brazen new wine
Cloaked in blue skies
You hide behind the stars

Will you love again?
You say, "When I'm ready"
Today is the day of salvation
All the flowers are growing
Cupid shoots an arrow
Are you ready?
Sometimes I think-no one is ready
Love is a present unexpected

Cupid smiles like a full moon
