Crystal Heart

I've got a heart of crystal and you've got a fist of gold
your hands once not so cold i did hold
in the light of last night
our souls took flight
but in the end you used your golden fist
your heart broken kissed
my crystal heart smashed
our love life's trashed

i cant understand why you play pretend
what you think you defend
how am i to mend
i fell broken like my crystal heart
we both know you didn't play your part
understand me i felt for you
i always do
i always have
i always will
but you kill
like your gold fist to my crystal part
we fell, we fell, we fell apart

so calm down breath deep
tell your cold soul to keep
to keep its broken promises
keep it's self safe
keep it's mind closed
just keep your self safe

i'll pick up the pieces and hold my crystal heart
