Crushed Poem by Rachel Bronte

Crushed

It all looks so pretty when the snow starts to fall
But it soon becomes dirty, trampled and cold
I hand you my heart and with it my all
Then I wake up lonely, buried from your hold

You turn my heart to ice
Then it cracks when it hears your voice

I freeze my own heart to the sound of your name
But my transparent barriers melt all the same
When you start to entice me like a moth to the light
Warmth only temporary, burns like frostbite

You turn my will to ice
But it cracks when it's sees your face

You're just like an avalanche
You Weigh me down
I simply don't have a chance
Whilst you're still around
All looked so picturesque
Till you threw me down
Now I'm just buried
With no one else around
