Crusade Poem by Ray Lucero

Crusade

Dogs of war unleashed, attack a mercy fleet
Attempt withhold aid, food, medical supplies
Kill or maim peace activists, impound ships
While astonished world can’t believe its eyes

1.5 million Souls occupy the Gaza Strip
Held captive in the world’s largest prison
Unable to escape the sting of Israeli whips
Apathetic U.S.A. ignores annihilation

Angry neighbor Nations threaten war
But hesitate in fear of nuclear retaliation
The threat of extinction they can’t ignore
So they growl, posture, voice admonition

Past “Holy War” is now being replayed
A fight for Temple Mount aka “Crusade”

ROTMS
