Cruel Mother Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Cruel Mother

Cruel mother

Two incidences in single week
I am forced to speak
I am great admirer of women
I shall not speak a word against even

The little child was found in garbage
Hardly few hours of an age
Cry was heard by little girl
She was taken good lady in turn

Another incidence is even crueler!
The girl child was buried under
Ashes and bricks so no one can hear
But luckily it was heard

She was heard crying with pain
The little girl noticed the voice and ran
Soon the people removed ashes and stones
The girl is under care with timely help and medicines

What shall we term such gesture?
Will it be out of helplessness or pressure?
But one thing is sure
We are behaving immature
