Crimes Of Winter Poem by jason mcgookin

Crimes Of Winter

Rating: 2.8

coulors of autumn, red and brown.
summer gets ready to hand over her crown.
winter is coming to take his reign.
darkened clouds and torrent rain.
cold and wet the winters begun.
goodbye summers golden hot sun.
leaves shrivel and fall to the ground.
the new ruler has now been crowned.
the trees line up, stripped and bare.
beauty is taken, it doesnt seem fair.
what now stands it twisted and broken.
winter ruler has truly spoken.
as time goes by the warmth begins.
the trees start to blossom, the birds sings.
time is a healer so they say.
its now time for winter to pay.
the young trees have now all grown.
time for the farmer to reap what was sewn.
to seperate the wheat from the grain.
its time to blossom, winter is slain

Excellent. I love how you have personalised the seasons. fantastically written. Although, I have to say, in my opinion, there is a lot of beauty in winter.
