Creation Out Of Destruction Poem by Wendy Bureau

Creation Out Of Destruction

Rating: 3.9

Induced, a downward spiral
A maze, most difficult plight
Not easy to ignore temptation
To retaliate, sheer spite

It is taught, self preservation
To forgive thy fellow man
Swallow resentment's pride
Equality, to all of this land

Creation out of destruction
Birth's promise, at fire's end
Rejuvenation outside the box
Fertility flourishes amend

Sprouting sprigs of green
Nourished, nurtured, by new found light
Radiates resound judgement
Wise in wisdom and insight

Resilience resurrected
Forgiveness found without cost
Restored is faith in man
Which once so mercilessly, was lost

I'm thinking about the earthquakes in Italy, will they rebuild? will life be the same?
