Creases Poem by Bella Luca

Creases

Creases in the sofa twisted into mouths,
The clicking of keys crawled on the walls

Like chattering teeth,
The chirp of birds leaked from the ceiling and

A million thoughts twitched in my mind
Like snakes or worms or eyebrows gone awry

Lou Reed whispered in my ear
Countless sound waves crashing against my skull

Today was beginning;
Yesterday’s emotions slipping away
And new ones settling in.
