Crash With Destany Poem by Elizabeth Lindberg

Crash With Destany

Rating: 5.0

Slumbers in the rock,
hidden from the moon,
quiet stalks with grace,
sharp fangs in that furface,

do not wake the giant
it is far too soon,
blood curdling howls,
hunger motivates,

desperation wakes,
passion for survival's sake,
risking all,
in thoughtless pursuit,

oh terrified prey,
heart must soon explode,
trapped in with the giant,
jumping right behind it,

the predator comes,
and crashes into destiny,
The giant wakes,
in one swift stroke,

he ends the race,
for old furface,
the prey escapes,
the bear goes back to sleep

Piece of great elegance, well articulated and insightfully penned in poetic diction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
